FAQs
How much do you charge for drafting?
Pricing depends on the size and complexity of the project.
For most residential plans, rates range between $0.50–$1.00 per square foot, or $75/hour for redlines, revisions, or smaller updates.
Once I review your project details, I’ll provide a clear quote; no surprises.
Do you work with builders or homeowners?
Both.
I regularly draft for builders and developers who need standardized, builder-friendly plans, as well as for homeowners designing custom homes or additions.
Every project is tailored to your level of detail and permitting requirements.
Can you draw plans for any location in the U.S.?
Yes; I work remotely with clients across the country. Each plan is drawn to meet your local building code and formatted for your jurisdiction’s permit process.
Do you provide stamped plans?
I’m not an engineer or architect, but I collaborate with licensed professionals when a stamp is required.
If your project needs one, I can coordinate with your engineer or recommend one who can review and stamp your plans.
What’s your turnaround time?
Typical projects take 3–7 business days, depending on scope and revisions.
Larger or multi-model sets may take a bit longer, but I always provide an estimated timeline up front.
What do I need to get started?
You can start with a sketch, concept plan, or inspiration photo; whatever you have. From there, I’ll review your ideas and provide a detailed quote and timeline.
Once you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send over a simple one-page work agreement outlining the scope, pricing, and deliverables.
A 50% deposit is required to begin drafting, with the remaining balance due upon completion and delivery of your final plan set.
How do you deliver the final plans?
All plan sets are delivered as PDFs, ready to print or submit for permits.
If you prefer editable source files for engineering or future updates, I can provide those as well upon request.
